After reading blogs on Ks, Ps, and Bs blogs(I read them once a week and catch up), I have decided to take a shot at the things I read on each.

First, on Kierans blog, he talked about getting a job in military intelligence. I am assuming he means the GCHQ (British version of NSA). First off, I'm pretty neutral when it comes to fighting, I mean, I thought about going into the army or RAF for a while and would gladly go fight for my country. I say I am neutral in that I think that war should ALWAYS be the last option when it comes to things in this world to do with politics. The intelligence services let the MoD know when it should think about going to war with accurate information, with people like Kieran in the job, I am sure that the information would be as accurate as can be. I think Kieran would do well in the GCHQ and I'm amazed he didn't think of it sooner.

Second, on Pauls blog is a reference to people not liking him (or something like that) and it's true :)

Third, on Bens blog is a reference to people being idiots. I have never heard a more true statement(except maybe the fact that everyone hates Paul). People are stupid, when I work in Game, I see someone stupid and idiotic everyday. These are the people that keep rubbish going on tele like big brother and eastenders(yuck!). I swear that sometimes I want to hit people over the head with a frying pan when I see them. Me and Paul saw two people putting a trolley on top of a car in Sainsburys, very odd. I think this might be why I don't have much anxiety about killing people, they are probably stupid anyway.

Finally, before I get shot or arrested, I would like to say................something. I can't think what it is. I managed to forget it in the space of about one and a half seconds. Im stupid. I go kill myself now. Bye x-P

A basic human emotion

Finished F.E.A.R. yesterday. I have played it pretty much none stop since i got it. I have to say that it is awesomely awesome. The first thing that hit me is the way it feels like a story more than a random killing spree, alot of games don't have that depth to it. The graphics are sublime, esspecially in slow-mo when you can see all the effects of bullets, explosions and deaths in full and near perfect detail. The apprehension over the little girl, coupled with never knowing when the next attack is coming lends the game a unique and breathtaking experience. My only dissapointment with the game, as tends to be the case with alot of games, was its length. It could of been a tad longer and filled a few holes in the plot that never got explained. But I think that it has at least got into my top 5 games and may well get to that top spot after a never play or two. Play it people, this game will rock your world.

I have just finished reading Kierans blog from the last few days about his little debate for and against meat eating. Now any of you who know me will know that I love my meat. It would take an apocalyptic disease infecting every bovine and poultry form of life on the planet to stop me eating meat. However, I am not completely biased and I do see the vegetarian argument (but don't get me started on vegans). I would like to propose some of my reasons for eating meat or the reasons against not eating meat:

I like the meat - simple but a good starting point.
Circle of life - not the song by Elton John, but a reference to how creatures will do what is in their DNA, humans are omnivorous, we eat plants (for vitamins, minerals, antioxidents, carbs, and other things I can't think of at the moment) and meat (for protein, fats, various acids and apparently for making testosterone and other hormones). Now you may be able to get these thing from other vegetables, but the quantities of these nutrients are greater in meat. Granted, if you take the trouble you can be healthy without meat, but I still believe that meat always provides something that no amount of vegetables can satisfy, maybe it's blood.
How far does it go - This world sucks. Nothing that we do in this world is anywhere near perfect. I myself believe that horse racing, hound hunts, smoking, George Bush, premiership football, and of course religion are all things that the world would be a better place without. But society and human beings need to be lazy or in a perfect world will always be an underlining factor in all human feats from now to eternity. Meat eating is the lazy satisfying option, the world might be better without meat eating (I doubt it) but it won't happen.
Useful - As Kieran mentioned, a lot of the animals on the planet are hear by our bidding. We bring a lot of things into this world to serve us. In ye olden times, a mans cow or sheep, was his income, his living. The cow is useful for industry, leather, milk, meat(obviously), grazing(used in plantation process to grow better vegetables) and for keeping the grass short. Sheep for their wool, milk, two types of meat, etc. Most animals that we breed for meat will also provide other uses either by necessity or tradition.
Morals - Vegetarianism boils down to morals in the long run. I have seen a cow being slaughtered and made into meat for sainsburys but the only thing it did to me was realize that I don't really care that much. That may sound a little insensitive but I have a lower appreciation of life than most people. I think of life as nothing but a by-product of solar creation and a collection of nerves and electrical impulses. Life should be cared for true, I would save children from fires, kittens from trees and so on, but I won't change or believe that we should change our eating habits from the way we have been made to be because of the death of a (mostly) well cared for, lived, and unaware animal life.

That is pretty much my arguments for my eating of meat. I think that now a lot of you will hate me, but I think that in the long run all life should be is to try and fufill our potential. Humans potential is to discover, we will try to find out everything about everything until the day the insects take over. Other life forms have different goals in their Evolution, and who is to say that some of the animals aren't around to feed other animals. Plants are here to provide life to other things. Cats, dogs, eagles, sharks and other animals at the top of the food chains all rule other their various domains in the animal kingdoms because of their brains, eating habits and killer instincts. Why can't humans be the rulers other our domain?

Species have come and gone in the history of this world, the vast majority of which have not been caused by humanity. Life is constantly improving itself and getting rid of other inferior beings to make way for the new and better versions. Basically life and evolution is a giant computer program constantly being patched and updated. Occasionally said program (Windows?) gets infected with a virus (humanity? Morals?) and it upsets the program. But the program will probably never be perfect.

I may be using too many smilies to say how I feel about meat eating and somehow comparing it to Microsoft (coincidence?) but I hope I got my point across. Now all this typing is hard work so I'm gonna grab a drink. Please post away to any point, I will soon post a counter argument :)thanks for reading.

*cough*... I feel like crap at the moment. Had a sore throat and an upset stomach for a few days now and it is just getting annoying, on top of that my gum hurts because I either have a bad tooth or the wisdom ones are beginning their trip *cough* north. On the bright side however is that I have managed to spend so some quality time on WoW and obtain the big 60! Awesome stuff. Uni is going well at the moment but I was a bit distracted yesterday because of this damn cough/bug that I have. Not too long left till F.E.A.R., and the anticipation is killing me, I have a feeling that Paul will be a little bit *cough* cautious around me while I am playing because I have a habit of letting things slip about games, the old "this bit is good" syndrome. Anyway, I am gonna go and rub my gums with bonjela. I like the taste*cough*.

I'm quite bored at the moment. There are few things that I hate more in life than being bored or doing nothing. I'm at a state where I'm not tired enough to go to bed but also tired enough to...... drift.....away.....**thinks about flying away as a dragon to destroy the world**......!!! Anyway, I am off to work in the morning and Uni on Monday, so the fun of the last few days; drinking; puking; sleeping; eating; scrubs; playing; cinema; not cleaning; and imagining things I can do to Kieran with a large hammer and a flamethrower, is to all be forgotten. But now, I will eat some grub, as is what I do when I can't do anything else.

What is it about some people that they feel they have to tell everyone about Jesus? Presumably they are trying to save our souls by knocking on doors and spreading the meaning of the bible to the poor souls who "DON'T GIVE A CRAP"!! In the last two days I have been set on by 4 Jehovahas witnesses quoting the bible at me and trying to make me see the light and how my heretic/atheistic soul (slightly ironic in that I don't believe in souls either) to hell. I should put a sign on the door that says "I want to burn!!" and maybe then they might leave me alone. I swear I have some sort of smell that the bloody JW's can smell from miles away. They are like sharks, one drop of blood in the water drives them mad from miles away. Maybe tomorrow I will be safe at work. Anyway I am looking at cars that I might get in the near future (Birthday). Any ideas on a good first car? Let me know. Now, I'm off to find a cow prod so that I can fry the next bugger that tries to tell me to "confess my sins". Au revoir.

..I PASSED!! yay. Never has the word pleased given me such a feeling of relief and of a weight off my shoulders. I passed with only 6 minors, apparantly the average is 9 so yay again. England won the ashes yesterday and got a huge reception in trafalgar square, simalar to that of the rugby teams welcome. Great spirit all round, national sports teams can really unify a nation and I think that that could be something that would be great all round. So anyway, awesome day today so I'm gonna go and have a drink to celebrate. Woot.

Sooo close.. It's tea time in the ashes and England are so close. Now I know that most of you don't care but I think that when a few million people can get behind their team and cheer their socks off it can be quite a thing. When England won the rugby world cup, I was watching early in the morning in the university pub, and I have never seen 100+ people so alive and unified at 7:00 in the morning. It can make you think about how much people can have in common if we try. Anyway, their back so im off. COME ON ENGLAND!!

I be shi**ing myself at the moment. I have to take my driving test on Tuesday and i am not looking forward to it. I am not gonna tell you how many I have already taken (0 < x < 10) but for some reason I always mess up on the lesson before my test and on the day. If it isn't nearly going right at a no right turn junction, it's emergency stopping at an amber light. I swear that my driving part of the brain runs away at this point because it doesn't want to do the test ( I could pass on any other lesson that i do) I hate tests and exams. I seem to only be complaning about things at the moment which is basically me. Everything is going wrong atm and its been a very trying few days. If it isn't the driving it's the council nicking my money, the bloody workman disappearing from the face of the earth in the middle of a job, the T.V. aerial busted, being bored solid, or feeling a little bit neglected (big cry, come on cry for me, CRY!!). I swear that soon something nice might happen. Actually that's a good point, I don't have to work tomorrow!! first time in a week!! yay. I feel better now, can have a break and play some more HL2 or maybe even some Burnout Revenge (that's right Paul, muahaha). Anyway people gonna be back soon so I can do something that ain't boring. (even video games get boring when you been playing them for 3 months straight, its a harsh world). Promise to have some good news next time. Later.

It's bloody hot now. I can't stand it when its too hot. I have been working for 4 days none stop in this burning heat and it's finally taken it's toll. Yesterday while I was working at my fancy little shop, an American came in and asked directions to Dixons, "what you mean the shop with the bloody great red sign up the road?" so I told him and had at him with a stick........well I wanted to. Anyway, about 15 minutes later, another American came in asking for the same directions, so I told him. I swear I don't work in tourist information, but obviously "game" in America means, "Get a map 'ere" or something like that. By now I was getting a headache from the heat, little kids, people who don't speak english and all the many directions to the shop up the road that I seem to tell someone once a day. It was very busy and in comes a resonable looking man in his 40s with his six year old son, who was carrying a large bag. The father came in and asked about the xbox 360, so I told him about Billy "spawn of evil" Gates's new invention to take over the world. After about 5 minutes he left and I went to serve the next person. I went upstairs to have my lunch when we found out that a gamecube had gone missing. After we searched and couldn't find it. The last place we had it was behind the counter, so we checked our little tape machine(its the size of a fridge) When to my constantination (yes I did use that word) we saw, plane as day, the little boy going behind the counter, with 3 of us there, half-incing the cube, putting it in his bag and heading off with his father. Bloody swine!! No older than six and he managed to do that. Balls of steel that kid. Gives you great pride in peoples upbringing when that happens. I seem to of melted into my seat so I'm gonna try now and peel myself off and get a drink or six. Maybe I will have some cheery news next time. later :p

It really hurts

This day sucks. I got out of bed this morning (big mistake) and I discovered a really sore spot on my lip and my nose, there are the size of peas!! Then I went out and got "mugged" by an old man at the local church telling me to stop sinning or something to that effect. I then got home and found that my bread is off, and my house smells of curry. When I had a shower I was pleased to find that it's even worse than usual and that the person comming to fix it isn't around for the next few days. Even worse is the fact that It looks unlikely that I will be able to actually go to Paul's party tomorrow because of nobody able to go to work as everyone has quit but me, 2 others and the manager. Also because some work being down to the house is being done tomorrow and I have to be here. Finally I turned on the tele about an hour ago to hear more news about hurricane Katrina and the poor people who are dying of hunger. It gives you great pride in humanity when the worlds richest and supposedly most powerful nation can't get off it's arse to help it's own people, rather send them off to die needlessly in a country that doesn't want or really need them. Ben showed me this it makes a good point. Im gonna go play some Half Life 2 to steady myself, maybe a drink. Later.

2 Hours to charge. No need to tell any of you what im talking about. But while I'waiting for the thing to charge I'm installing software on my PC aswell. Something new to save me from those boring moments when I cant get to my PC or my tele. That feeling of a new "toy" never leaves you even when your nearly 20. Great stuff. There are probably better thing to spend hard earned wages on, but food is a privalage that I don't need privilege. Now off to watch some Gantz. hehe, just kidding KierAn. Well I'm just back from Bristol with Ben and I am shattered. We were talking about many things on our journey, mostly about America (or at least that’s the only topic that I can remember). Now as any of you that know me will know, I have a pet peeve against stereotypical America (I'm sure some of it is nice). Now I'm not trying to offend American's (the best Video games come from American heads) but it just seems that whenever I start moaning about something (which I do alot apparently) It always ends up at either religion or American nuances. If it isn't dates that are the wrong way round (is it November the 2nd or the 11th of Febuary??) It's leaving out the letter u in most words or pronouncing words wrong on telly and making kids in Britain say things like "I hate tom-ate-oes" or "Lets take this rout(e)". Now I know that it ain't big and there are worse things in American culture (KKK, god-complex, baseball, pollution, Bush, etc.) but they are the things that seem to get on my nerves more than anything else at the moment. Anyway, I just felt like taking a dig at America a little, apologies to any Americans reading this (jokes about Americans reading aside). Toodle pip ;)

Oh my unicorn its a blue cloudless sky in Britain, I think the Universe might be imploding, because lets face it there aint anywhere for the universe to explode to. But my point is that people use "oh my god" in vain, alot. So what is a lowly atheist supposed to do. I mean, I use the phrase alot because it's been forced into my speech, probably in a cunning way by the church to get people talking about god more. So I now use different ficticious characters in place of that "great" word. Now I know that some of you have noticed that god ain't gettin a capital g (by some I mean Kieren). The reason for this is that the word god means any god that is an idol and not the "real" one, only the real God gets a capital (it's his reward). Now until the real one shows him/herself (who knows?) all gods are ficticious so they all get relegated to the lower case. Now im off outside to enjoy the sun... oh my giant flying two headed monkey, the clouds are back. Oh well back to Half Life 2 deathmatch then, later all.

Lazy mornings

Going to bed at 3:30 in the morning isn't as fun as it use to be when you wake up at 1:30 and realise that you usually get up at 9:00 and have lost alot of the day. What is it about going to bed at a different time that makes you sleep longer. 10 hours, that's just crazy. Anyway I might have more to say later, so stay tuned.

Just before i go to bed i would like to draw your attention to F.E.A.R. out in October, have a look and play the demo on the site it is awesome. My WoW character is now lvl 56 and climbing so i will be lvl 60 by halloween. Im back to Uni on the 19th of september to do computer scinence and im looking forward to it. well im tired so night all :)

A fresher start

Its true. A world of atheism and video games would make everyone get along. Think about it, everyone getting together and putting aside their difference of opinion about how tall Jesus was or if the bread at communion represents him or if it has actually magically transformed into his body! Getting together with a copy of Half Life 2 and shooting each other in a fictional world instead of the real one, or invading other countries with armies of any era and not risking anybodies life. Life should really come with save points because we all want to hit F9 occasionally dont we. When will we come to realise that religion only serves to seperate us? Few things in this world causes as much harm to us as religion (and G.W.Bush), and until everone sees that, this world is gonna continue to suck. Thanks be to......the big bang, for video games then to take us out of this world and put us in new ones. (excel saga rules) :)
